Artifact Uprising — Checkout Redesign
During Artifact Uprising's 2016 upgrade to Magento 2, the checkout experience was left native Magento to keep the project within scope and launched on time. This left the checkout flow with a lot of room for improvement and a key area to optimize conversion rates. I started this project by performing an extensive heuristic evaluation and conducted a checkout conversion audit. One of the goals with this redesign was to create a “closed” checkout experience — a checkout that features a different header and footer than the rest of the website, preventing a user from navigating away from the checkout flow.
